Proud and with the flag held high
A bit of Brahms, a bit of Mendelssohn, a dose of Shostakovich, and our fantastic artists. It is, to say the least, a perfect way to end this year’s festival. And what’s even better: When the concert is over, the summer holiday begins!
Going into the summer, you will experience Brahms’ fantastic clarinet quintet, with our friend Andreas Ottensamer leading the way. Then we get an insight into what has made Shostakovich the most important composer at the crossroads of classical and modern music. Before we finish off with a bang: Eight string players in a masterpiece Mendelssohn wrote at the age of 16.
For us at “Kammer’n”, the festival week is about how we start, how we keep the momentum, and how we land. With this final concert, we enter the holiday with our flag held high.
