Norway’s all-time greatest pop album in a new package
40 years ago, to be precise on June 1, 1985, the rather unknown pop group a-ha released their debut album, Hunting High and Low. Norwegian music life was turned completely upside down. Forever. Take On Me, The Sun Always Shines on T.V., and the title track gave Norwegians a reason to hold their heads high when the Swedes walked by.
The three gentlemen of a-ha are celebrated this evening by the three gentlemen of Poing. The modus operandi of Poing in recent years has been to take an anniversary album and wrap it in their unique musical packaging. This will be a performance of the hits in a way you’ve never heard before.
Poing has a unique ability to take something familiar and manipulate it into something new and unique. This is the concert for those of you who had delightful 80s hair, jeans, and want to celebrate the absolute pop pinnacle of Norwegian music 40 years later.
