Mozart full on

In September 2024, a piece Mozart wrote when he was just over 10 years old, Gans kleine Nachtmusik, was rediscovered in the Leipzig music library. Now it is arriving here in Risør. You have certainly never heard this piece before, and it will be performed by quite a bouquet of artists.

Since you can rarely get enough of Mozart’s music and musical influence, the rest of the concert is filled with Mozart-related works. From his female classmate Auernhammer, a modern interpretation by the Ukrainian Sylvestrov, to a Mozart artwork by Schnittke.

There is also room for Beethoven. A short piece dedicated to his sponsor Countess von Thun, who also supported Mozart. Good taste on her part, in other words. And as a conclusion to the evening? Of course, Eine kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart himself.
