A personal interplay
There is something very special about the white bright location, with a high ceiling, where you end up almost in the lap of the artists. Music becomes very close when you see their eyes and facial expressions, and could it become more intimate than when the British super couple present Grieg?
With Grieg’s British heritage, it is fitting that Benjamin and Hyeyoon take on Sonata No. 3. A piece Grieg wrote as a thank you to Franz von Lenbach for a portrait he painted of the couple Nina and Edvard. The sonata remains one of his most played works to this day.
And as the title suggests, we will get to know both Benjamin and Hyeyoon even better. They have had great success with this performance and have played it all over the world. We’re excited to hear their unique interplay, for all of us who hold Edvard Grieg so close to our hearts.
