Sissel at Stangholmen – Risør kammermusikkfest

Sissel Kyrkjebø with a full symphony orchestra out on an island.

You haven’t read that sentence many times before, and the reason is simple: It’s not often our absolute biggest pop star performs in this setting.

Since Sissel and the orchestra can play anything, we get a fantastic mix of Sissel’s highlights, some classical quirks, and delightful national treasures. Our artistic director, Tine Thing Helseth, is also bringing some friends. There will be everything from laughter to a cozy, sing-along atmosphere.

Tine had to admit she got quite starstruck when Sissel confirmed the concert. And our friends at Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra confirsm that this was the summer concert they had long dreamed of. In other words, it’s just as much about being able to say: I was there when Sissel Kyrkjebø sang on Stangholmen in Risør, 2025.
