The Clarinet Quintet
In 1890, Brahms was about to give up composing, but when he heard the clarinetist Richard Mühlfeld, he was so captivated that he changed his mind. This new inspiration resulted in, among other things, Clarinet Quintet in B minor, a masterpiece which
has been loved since its premiere. At the concert, we will also hear Tine Thing
Helseth and Mari Eriksmoen in Chasing the Moon Down by Carson Cooman, and Schumann’s virtuoso and a passionate duet for horn and piano.
