Biography
The Finns and classical music are a perfect match, and with Lilli, we get yet another example of Finland’s immense presence in the classical music world. She made her debut at the age of 17 with the Oulu Symphony Orchestra, and along the way, she has become particularly known for her recordings. They have received fantastic reviews throughout Europe’s music press.
And not everyone has the privilege of becoming a professor at both the renowned Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the pioneering art school in Zurich (ZHdK). She has also become an important voice in developing the viola repertoire. Among other things, she premiered Lauri Kilpiö’s viola concerto with Jyväskylä Sinfonia in 2013. Lilli will be playing at several concerts this summer.
