Nordic Voices
Vokal group
“… the three men and three women of Nordic Voices gave us a sonic landscape ranging from luscious Renaissance polyphony to quacks, whistles, groans, and overtone singing, all with great sophistication and ensemble balance.”

Biography
Nordic Voices is a perfect example of the phrase “the more, the merrier.” Each of the six members is an exceptional singer in their own right, performing a wide variety of music. When these talents are combined in a group, it becomes truly special.
And special they are, for they have managed to stay relevant since their inception in 1996. They have done so by delivering top-notch performances in everything from medieval and Renaissance music to contemporary music.
The group is, of course, well-known in the Nordic countries and Europe, but they are also one of our greatest vocal successes in other continents and are the first choice of many composers for premieres. They were honored as Performer of the Year by the Norwegian Society of Composers in 2014 and received the Rolf Gammleng Award in 2010.
