Sonoko Miriam Welde violin
Sonoko Miriam Welde was in Risør in 2017. She won the Equinor big talent scholarship of a million NOK in 2016, has played chamber music with stars such as Leif Ove Andsnes, Tabea Zimmermann and Clemens Hagen. Sonoko is educated at Barratt Dues Music Institute, is now studying at the Hochschule für Musik Hans Eissler in Berlin and is part of the Oslo Philharmonic’s mentorship program “Crescendo”. Has performed at the Bergen International Festival, Tokyo Opera City Hall, Wigmore Hall in London and leads the Opus 13 String Quartet. Plays an Alessandro Gagliano from 1714, lent by Dextra Musica.
