Tine Thing Helseth trumpet
Tine Thing Helseth is now part of the festival’s artistic leadership. She has been to Risør many times and is also responsible for the wind course organized during the festival, which she continues in 2020. Following her 2013 concert at BBC Proms with the BBC Scottish Symphony, Tine Thing Helseth has quickly established herself as one of Europe’s most important trumpet soloists. She is recognized for her lyrical sound and good music performance.
Tine has worked with some of the world’s leading orchestras, including the Bamberger Symphoniker, NDR Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, SWR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, Gürzenich-Orchester Cologne, Tonkünstler Orchestra Vienna, BBC Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Oslo Philharmonic, Bergen Radio Symphony, Denmark Philharmonic, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Swedish Radio Symphony and Orchestra Philharmonique du Luxembourg. In addition, Tine works with an increasing number of chamber orchestras: Munich Chamber Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra and Zurich Chamber Orchestra, as well as Mozarteum Salzburg and Hong Kong Sinfonietta. She is an artist who challenges the boundaries of classical music with an intensely creative and open attitude.
