Sebastian Haukås

Sebastian Haukås has been at the heart of the music community since childhood, growing up in the vibrant wind band environment of Bergen. He was early fascinated by the world of music and embarked on his musical journey with passion and dedication.

After thorough studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where he was guided by renowned teachers such as Jonas Haltia, Mark Bennett, and Ole Edvard Antonsen, it became clear that Sebastian had found his calling. He evolved into an outstanding musician with exceptional talent, unique versatility, and a deep-rooted understanding of the essence of music.

Since 2015, Sebastian has been working in the Norwegian Armed Forces Staff Band. Not only has he contributed to military music, but he has also been a part of Brasskompaniet since 2012. This fantastic brass ensemble has maintained its brilliant activity by participating in festivals throughout the country, and Sebastian has been a proud and steadfast participant in their musical adventures. Here in Risør, we have also had the pleasure of experiencing Brasskompaniet.

As an exceptional soloist, Sebastian Haukås has had the honor of performing with some of Norway’s most prestigious bands, including the Royal Norwegian Marines Band and the Norwegian Armed Forces Staff Band. In addition, he has shared his passion for music with amateur bands in the Bergen area, where he has inspired and enthralled musicians of all ages.
