Harpreet Bansal

In recent years, Harpreet Bansal has established herself as one of Norway’s most captivating musicians. Her unique approach to the deeply rooted Indian raga tradition draws inspiration from jazz, folk music, and contemporary classical music. She is among Norway’s most sought-after performers, regularly gracing prestigious festivals both nationally and internationally. Harpreet has showcased her music as a soloist with renowned ensembles such as the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra.

Harpreet has released three albums under the Jazzland Recordings label with her band, the Harpreet Bansal Band, earning her a Spellemannspris (Grammy) nomination (2019) and the prestigious NOPA Award (2021). Her latest album, «Parvat,» where she collaborates with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, received nominations in six categories at the 2022 OPUS Klassik Awards.

Harpreet plays a violin crafted by Giovanni Batista Rogeri in 1690, generously provided by the Dextra Musica Foundation. Her music and unique talent have solidified her as a prominent figure in Norway’s music scene.
