Biography
Mishka is coming because Pekka believes it is high time for her to make her debut in Norway. She may have gone under the radar for some due to her somewhat unconventional career path. She is a student of music and has not been a celebrated prodigy, nor does she have a plethora of awards to show off.
However, Europe has now realized that despite her young age, she is an incredibly mature pianist. With the well-known Rushdie name, people have noticed that she is also worth listening to, not just her uncle. She is probably the smartest person in the room, and you should come prepared. She knows what she is talking about, and playing.
But for the piano nerds, those who understand that a debut recording for Hyperion Records is something only the most talented pianists do, her technical prowess and enormous emotional range have long been recognized. In Risør, we will all get to hear and see what the connoisseurs have known for a long time, as she finally debuts in Norway.
