Lina Johnson
Soprano
She started the year by charming Italian audiences in Verona, and has recently released an album of Haydn. Of course Lina’s voice is coming to us this summer.
About the Artist
Look up Lina’s work and repertoire and you’ll see it immediately. The list of solo engagements across Europe is almost endless, and she is very popular in opera’s home country, Italy.
In 2023 she also received one of Norway’s highest cultural honours: Tom Wilhelmsen’s Opera Award.
This summer she’s coming to sing the important soprano part in this year’s big choral concert, the Nelson Mass at Frydendal Church. Now that the Festival Choir concert is established as one of the festival’s highlights, we have to make sure the soloists are at the highest international level. We’re very happy that Lina said yes!
