Norway's original chamber music festival.

A simple idea more than 30 years ago, inspired by European tradition, and still unique in Norwegian and international chamber music tradition.

When you gather more than 40 artists for an entire week, you can explore and perform the music in truly distinctive ways. The concerts and the combinations of artists in Risor Church in particular are something few others in the world can recreate.

The recipe for a great chamber music festival is very simple, but we have an advantage few others do: chamber music is meant to be intimate, and it does not get more intimate than Risor.

Artistic Director Tine Thing Helseth, all the artists, and the whole town are ready.
Welcome to Risor Chamber Music Festival 2026 in the last week of June!
