Verklärte Nacht
Prepare for an unforgettable concert experience, where goosebumps are guaranteed! A stellar lineup featuring clarinetist Julian Bliss, pianist Marc-Andre Hamelin, and audience favorite Kristine Balanas will guide you through an evening you won’t soon forget.
In “Verklärte Nacht,” a young woman confides her darkest secret to the man she loves. The profound emotional drama unfolds in Arnold Schönberg’s dramatic masterpiece—a composer who himself drew inspiration from another great, Johannes Brahms.
Both “Verklärte Nacht” and Brahms’ “Trio No. 1 in A minor” hail from the same period, separated by just eight years.
