Grand Concert on Stangholmen
Welcome to one of the country's great summer concerts! On an island in Risør's beautiful archipelago, there will be a celebration of folk music and symphony orchestra hand in hand.
About the concert
People are still talking about last year's record-breaking concert out on Stangholmen. We're going for the same thing this year, because this is the summer concert with a capital S in this country.
And what could be more festive than getting enormous sound from our friends in the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, mixed with the primal force of the Swedish forests and the Finnmark plateau. We'd like to see the person who isn't swept away when Emilia Amper works magic on the nyckelharpa, or Kajsa Balto blows you away with Sami pride. Here all you have to do is sit back and tap along.
