Herborg Kråkevik has made a name for herself in both film and theater as an impressive artist and actress. Born in Jondal, Hardanger, she began her artistic journey with the cabaret collaboration with Kenneth Sivertsen in 1995, followed by the success of the self-composed production “Haugtussa” based on Arne Garborg’s poetry cycle.

She has also distinguished herself as an actress with roles such as Eliza in “My Fair Lady” and in theater productions like “Victoria,” “Funny Girl,” and “Kærlighedens Farve.” As a film actress, she has contributed to productions such as “Jakten på nyresteinen” and “Det største i verden.”

Kråkevik has particularly excelled as a singer and cabaret artist, with albums like “Herborgs verden” and “Kråkeviks songbok.” Her interpretations of classic songs have resonated with a wide audience, and the album “Kråkeviks songbok” sold over 200,000 copies, earning her the honor of being named the Spellemann of the Year in 2000. Her unique combination of humor, parodies, and deeply heartfelt musical performances makes Herborg Kråkevik a remarkable figure in Norwegian cultural life.
