He began his musical journey at the piano at the age of five and picked up the trumpet the following year, a loyal companion for the rest of his life. Eick, considered a multi-instrumentalist, excels on the vibraphone, double bass, guitar, and keyboard instruments. He has received several awards, including the “International Jazz Talent” award, the Statoil Scholarship, and the DNB Prize.
